This is what a website, which uses my Moon theme for Wordpress, said.

The license plate can be seen in the Cloverfield Trailer (apple.com) on a black SUV that gets blown up at the end of the sequence. Click below image to see a high-quality image.

The website I mentioned above, received a whooping 600 comments in no-time. Of course no one had a clue where this SUV was at and most of the comments were taking the piss, but nevertheless, some people believed that abz3293.com was one of the official movie websites.

Other sites, such as slashfilm.com did even report on abz3293.com and exposed it as a fake cloverfield website. Funny thing is, I get a mentioning:

The top link in this section and in the blog roll is to a 21 year old German student/ freelance web designer. My guess is that he could be the one responsible for this site. The other links appear to be obvious advertisements. Why would Paramount link a swing sets depot?

Anyway, I am proud of my work getting used by sites like that and feel encouraged to design and release more free work once the Themeviewer is back online and all fixed. (can only be a matter of months… yiks)

The people that run ABZ3293.com are an American Marketing Agency, so they have either created it for themselves just for the sake of conducting a social experiment and watching myths getting created, or they worked for Paramount to raise some Public Awareness for the movie, or again… they just wanted to push some pages’s Pagerank by driving some organic traffic to them. Anyway, a great idea and fun to read all those comments. Just recently they have lifted their secret and said that they are not affiliated to Paramount, but hey.. who knows
