So what happened lately? Must have been a while since I posted some news:
To pickup the last line of my last post-
h4x3d.com got blatently hacked in June by a international group of leetors who sent approximately 10milion spam emails over my sendmail.
Quite a punch in my face, I must admit:
But there is greymatter to blame- due to its loosy security and its need of having one folder chmodded 777 (read-write-execute all for free, please h4x me.) it only seemed like a matter of time for this to happen. But quite funny, I reckoned no one would find this folder, good job to the ones who did. Measures have been initialized, I had have conversations with the state department of persecution and a complain vs. unidentified has been filed. There are several repeating IP-addresses in the local apache log file, but I doubt whether they care. After all, no one cares about spam but blindly deletes it with brief sigh.
In mid June I got my results (a-levels & university entrance degree) and I didn?t fail which is nice- moreover I have passed quite formidable scoring 2.6 whereas 1 is best and 6 is worst. Main subjects were English, Geographical Science, Biological Science and German Literature.
After having passed this part of my life (Goodbye school ? won?t miss you at all) I did some freelancing work (same as before) for different companies. Mainly komm.passion. Finished their new portal website and worked on several other sites as well. I still haven?t found a convincing weblog&cms solution for h4x3d.com, though I eye typo3 for its incredible complexity and typoscript theme system.
Also I went with my gorgeous girlfriend to Sensation White 2005 in Amsterdam.
I personally favoured Armin van Buuren, though DJ Jean was defiantly beasting as well. Pictures to come, really. Sensation was clearly THE event this summer. Summer, cough. Didn?t have any summer here actually, because of the steady raining and the faggy clouds.
Spontaneous we booked some special offer to Mallorca (7 days, all inclusive, 3star hotel, quiet part of the island) and enjoyed the grilling sun and the canning heat (38 degree at most). Ibiza (last year?s target) is clearly superior to Mallorca, not only party-wise but also when it comes to chilled atmosphere, beaches, food, prices, et cetera? After all it was a really relaxing short vacation with plenty of sun.
Then I did some more work, started my Civil Service (in Germany you are forced to either serve the Bundeswehr (army) or the state, which means if you don?t like to get up early, rub in mud, penis in your ass and total retards around you, you choose the lesser evil and do the Civil Service). For me that means getting up at 7.45 every morning ? which is quite a moderate time -, driving to work (which is only a cat walk of 5 minutes) and then working their: repair stuff, paint walls, glue stuff, carry stuff, wash dishes (like 150 or so plus glasses, knifes, forks, spoons, simply everything needs to be cleaned) every day, mow the lawn, carry empty water bottles and boxes around, refill the empty and carry them up again. But that is not all: Also we drive food from A to B and from B to A.
All in all a rather okish job if it wasn?t for this shitty payment of 7,13 Euro a DAY.
A day, (day as in 8hours work, rest free time). That is less than one Euro / hour.
Would you like to do my work? No? Nor would I. But as it is a given law in Germany that you either serve the state or go to jail?
Well, 2nd day at work, my 20th birthday. Started on August 1st and will end in late April next year. Then it?s university time. I am really looking forward towards that period?
Mixing-wise I have finished 1 or 2 acceptable mixes, one is published (june_mix), while the other one has to be uploaded yet (cba atm), so long? oh and enjoy the cgi-irc (5000 via google a week), pumped my pr to 4!
Dear Sir or Madam,
abra-cadabra.
Yours faithfully,
jez.
